Handcent broke my ability to receive pictures

A few weeks back I installed Handcent on my phone. Things were fine for a bit, then I stopped being able to receive (or send) pictures in text messages. It kept telling me to check my APN settings, though no changes were made to my phone.

I uninstalled Handcent and now can not receive pictures...
