^^^That particular drive has dropped about $15 in price since I first bought it. I was going to get it for my personal Windows laptop as I transitioned it to Win10, but the prime day deal on the 750GB version with slightly better specs (@$139) prompted me to spend the extra bones.
I feel as though I did my homework before I decided on that Micron; it's not the fastest, but it's faster than most at that price range for real-world scenarios and it's a true SSD (there is at least one brand that has added a cache layer to the SSD that makes it "seem" faster for some of the industry-standard benchmark tests, which is bogus cheating to me, haha).
I know pretty much no one here really knows anyone else, but as a general rule I won't recommend something to someone unless I really believe it's a good product for the price.
