Android newbie

I have only come over to andoid from ios and it's all new to me. The biggest problem is that I'm finding the website browsing really frustrating compared to safari. Ads are popping up everywhere and Google keeps suggestion search topics. The pages take a while to load up as well. I have a Samsung edge 7 so I thought it would be fairly quickly. Any advice??
