Chrome seems stunted

I don't understand chrome on the android OS.
I have Chrome on my desktop running Win 7 64 and it is much like any other browser.

Buy on android, I can't find bookmarks, for instance. I guess that's not too surprising since I can't see a way to even add a website or link to bookmarks.

Is Chrome for Smartphones crippled?

What am I missing?
