Phones with tough screens

I have had an LG Optimus T for 5.5 years. Its unprotected plastic screen has survived dozens of falls, and since it never encounters anything sharp, scratches are largely invisible. Link2SD, CyanogenMod, and a battery replacement have kept it going, but some day I will have to replace it.

Are there any recent plastic-screen phones? I don't need graphics or extra features, just a better processor, RAM, and storage to meet the demands of today's basic apps and firmware. Anything to avoid shattering.
