SuperSU Encryption

Need to encrypt this Alcatel one touch xl
(5054N) running 5.1.1.
Is disabling the super user option in SuperSu sufficient for encryption?
To return to root without data loss.
I am unable to use TWRP or any such custom recovery, as this phone doesn't support them... Any thoughts?...
